Thompson Mapping Systems has developed many Autodesk Mapguide sites that are used in the Agriculture industry. Our Mapguide sites are award winning, clean, professional, and user-friendly.

The purpose of this site is to provide a central location for access to on-line maps & reports for the State of Delaware's Department of Agriculture. All information on this site is provided free of charge to the public. Maps are broken down by county & type that include Base, Agriculture, Land Use, Election/School districts. State Planning, Environmental & Soils Maps.

Thompson Mapping Systems created the Official State Senatorial and Representative Election District Maps for the Kent County Department of Elections. These maps are used for election purposes and are posted in polling places during state elections.

Thompson Mapping Systems implemented a statewide GIS system in Delaware known as DEGIS (Delaware GIS). These suitability analyses were used to determine "Growth Areas". This analysis identified areas throughout the state where the state wants to encourage and stimulate development based on land use, infrastructure, etc. Incentives are offered to encourage development in these areas. This "development" analysis goes hand in hand with the preservation analysis to produce an overall state plan for the controlled, orderly and logical growth and preservation in Delaware.

TMS built an application to help manage those activities involving the generation and application of nutrients in order to help maintain and improve the quality of Delaware’s ground and surface waters and to help meet or exceed federally mandated water quality standards, in the interest of the overall public welfare. TMS digitized the 185 separate USCS soil maps for the State of Delaware, geocoded & edgematched each map to create “seamless” countywide maps for use in State and County GIs systems. All maps were rectified using orthophotography and intelligent polygons were created.
